A Series of Three Weekend Workshops

designed to help yoga teachers and students understand

the structure and function of the body through

ANATOMY, PHYSIOLOGY and PATHOLOGY.

$150 for one weekend, $275 for two, and $400 for all three weekends.

There will be a late fee of $35 if registering is less than one month prior to workshop dates.

(For example, after Feb 7th all three workshops will be $435, for two weekends $310, and $185 for one weekend).

1pm-5pm each day (Saturday & Sunday) @ Triangle Yoga.

These workshops meet the Yoga Alliance Continuing Education

standards, and each weekend gives the professional body worker 8 CEUs

for an additional fee of 15% per workshop cost.

This on-the-mat series will take you into the study of healthy bodies, and also help you

recognize and respond appropriately to health conditions that require a modified yoga practice.

Learn how to make yoga safer and reach out with integrity to students with a wider range of health

issues. We will touch, move, explore, observe, draw, reflect, discuss and research our way to a much

deeper understanding of the beautiful form and flow of our bodies in the practice of hatha yoga.

 

FORM & FLOW

March 8-9: Bones, Joints & Connective Tissues

Learn about the bones and joints of the body, their range and limits of  movement,

the form and function of bone and connective tissue,

common conditions that limit yoga students,

and modifications for a safer practice.

April 12-13: Muscles & Movement

  Learn the major muscles and movement patterns, the relationships

      of bone, connective tissue and muscle, the form and function of muscle tissue,

common conditions that limit yoga students, and modifications for a safer practice.

May 17-18: Rhythms & Regulation

          Learn how the nervous and muscular systems function as one,

about the stress and relaxation responses,

the cardiovascular and respiratory functions important to yoga,

common conditions that limit yoga students, and modifications for a safer practice.

CANCELLATIONS

ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS AVAILABLE.

However, if cancellations are necessary,

the fee may be transferred to other workshops, classes or store merchandise.

All cancellations/transfers will be charged a $35 administrative fee.

 

CAROL VERNER, RCST®, LMBT, Certified TriYoga Teacher, has practiced and taught yoga for over 30 years. She has a BA in Holistic Studies from Vermont College and is lead instructor of Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology and Pathology at the Body Therapy Institute. Carol also practices hands-on healing—Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, Body-Mind Integration and Therapeutic Massage.

Carol believes that yoga, bodywork and anatomy are disciplines that beautifully inform

each other. She brings wisdom from these traditions to enhance your body-centered

understanding and joy. With clarity and caring, she will help deepen your hands-on skills,
